About Me

I’m a journalist and editor with a strong background in local government reporting, feature writing, and AP-style editing. I specialize in turning complex information into clear, accurate stories while meeting tight deadlines. Detail-driven, reliable, and comfortable working across print and digital platforms.

I obtained an Associates Degree from Hawkeye Community College and persued my Bachelors Degree in Screenwriting and Cinema at The University of Iowa. During college I worked at two school organized publications, ETC. Literary Magazine and The Daily Iowan. My time at these publications allowed me to explore the work and tasks that contributed to the publication field and my role as a journalist.

After Graduation I took a position as a reporter at Mid-American Publishing were I lead the newsroom at a local publication called The Butler County Tribune. My time there is spent covering different beats, becoming familiar with government and political writing as well as learning from my peers about how to be a better journalist and seek information. Which is why I was awarded the Wagner Family Prize for Young Journalists at the 2026 INA Convention.
